JOBS AT LIBBY DAM: Libby Dam employs approximately 38 full-time and 17 part-time employees. Libby Dam project has one of the highest performing workforces of any Corps field office. These dedicated employees manage, operate and maintain the dam, powerhouse, recreation areas, and Visitor Center. They also manage the water resources of Lake Koocanusa, a geographic area that receives over 300,000 visitors a year. Libby Dam is a multipurpose project responsible for hydropower generation, flood control, recreation, fish protection, and wildlife management. Libby is not only a large hydro producer, but is a large flood control project. Position(s) will be filled under the Department of the Army Pathways Intern Program. The Department of the Army Pathways Internship Program is designed to provide students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with opportunities to work in the Department of Army and explore Federal careers while still in school and while getting paid for the work performed. At the time of application you must be enrolled in an accredited university for a minimum of half-time and remain in that status for the duration of the internship. Your application will be considered incomplete if proof of current enrollment is not submitted; i.e., class schedule, letter of enrollment, pre-registration schedule/transcript(s), or receipt for tuition. Upon selection and before your appointment begins, you must submit proof of enrollment for the Summer or Fall 2013 terms , i.e., class schedule, letter of enrollment, pre-registration schedule/transcript(s), or receipt for tuition. Selectees must sign a Pathways Program Internship Participant Agreement which, in part, requires you to: furnish course registration information at the start of each school term and provide verification of academic status (transcript) at the end of each academic term. The Department of the Army Pathways Interns may be converted to a permanent position within 120 days of successful completion of the program.
