Job Summary:

This position serves as the Director, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) and is located in the Department of the Treasury. The incumbent is appointed by, and reports directly to, the Deputy Secretary of the Treasury. The primary functions of this position necessitate coordination, consultation, and program collaboration with the Assistant Secretary for Management (ASM), the Director of the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion, and the Senior Procurement Executive. The incumbent in this position is responsible for the executive management and administration of programs that further the use of small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, and women owned small businesses, businesses located in historically underutilized business zones (HUB Zones), and service disabled veteran owned small businesses. As a recognized expert and leader in small business procurement, the incumbent serves as the principal advisor to the Deputy Secretary, the ASM, and bureaus on matters relating to the development, evaluation, and implementation of small business procurement program policies and regulations. Additionally, the incumbent will provide authoritative advice and guidance; and recommend and establish positions for the Department of the Treasury and bureaus on small business programs. Further, the incumbent will collaborate and consult with the Small Business Administration (SBA), notably with respect to the functions described in Sections 8 and 15 of the Small Business Act (P.L. 85-536).
