Surface Maintenance Repairer, WG-5801-08, PD D1193000 FMS 7, Picatinny New Jersey Starting Salary: $23.43 Salary Range: $23.43- $27.34 OPENING DATE: CLOSING DATE: 20 May 2013 20 June 2013 NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatibility assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: AREA I - All New Jersey National Guard (NJNG) Technicians AREA II - All Members of the NJNG If a New Jersey Air National Guard (NJANG) member is selected, the person must transfer to the NJARNG, and may be required to attend U.S. Army Basic Training. Applicant may contact an Army National Guard Recruiter. If the individual selected is currently on a title 10 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour. APPOINTMENT STATUS: ( X ) EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status excepted position with the New Jersey Army National Guard ( ) OFFICER ( ) WARRANT OFFICER ( X ) ENLISTED MINIMUM RANK: SPC/E-4 MAXIMUM RANK: SFC/E-7 APPLICANTS ABOVE THE MAXIMUM RANK: Applicants with an enlisted rank that exceeds the maximum advertised rank for the position may be considered. Applicant must provide a statement with their resume/application which indicates their willingness to accept a reduction in military rank. If selected, reduction in military rank is required to prevent grade inversion. Air/Army Officers and Army Warrant Officers may be allowed to reduce their Officer/Warrant Officer rank to Enlisted only. Military recruiters can provide Air/Army Officers and Army Warrant Officers with specifics applicable to the applicant. MILITARY POSITION: Any unit in the New Jersey Army National Guard.
