Job Summary:
Additional selections may be made for this vacancy within six months from the closing date of this announcement. The SSA Recent Graduates Program (Program) provides Recent Graduates with entry-level developmental experience and is designed to lead to a career in the Federal government. Recent Graduates must have obtained a qualifying degree or certificate within the preceding 2 years. Preference-eligible veterans who, due to military service obligation, were precluded from applying to the Program within the 2-year eligibility period may have additional time. The employee plans and conducts studies and projects applying economic theory and econometric techniques to the analysis, interpretation and presentation of program planning, evaluation and general management data. Produces statistical trust fund information to be used by SSA, Congress, other Federal agencies and the general public. Note: This is a developmental position leading to the full performance GS-110-12. At this level, incumbent may continue to consult with higher graded analysts. The duties will be gradually broadened so that the incumbent is eventually performing all of the duties of the full performance level.
