Design Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineering Manager to join a fast growing, innovative electronic manufacturing company based here on the Isle of Wight. The successful candidate will take a leading role in the project management and development of new products, working with the development team from initial research through to final production.<br/><br/>Key accountabilities and responsibilities:<br/><br/>- Provide leadership, support and direction to the design engineering team<br/>- Lead the design and development of electronic products to improve the Company's competitiveness<br/>- Enhance the current product range by improving product reliability, performance and ease of manufacture, and engineer out costs<br/>- Ensure the design engineering function is responsive to the needs of its internal customers (Commercial, Production, Procurement)<br/>- Be proactive in initiating improvements in all aspects of the Company's design engineering processes, systems and procedures
