Job Summary:
WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: Pathways Student Program Eligibles within the local commuting distance (60 miles radius) of Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve and Veteran Preference eligibles with student status. This is an excepted service appointment under the Pathways Internship Program that is expected to last 4 months (from approximately mid-May 2013 to late August 2013). This appointment may be extended based on continued need/funds for the position and the student's continued eligibility in the Internship Program. What are the eligibility requirements? In order to be eligible for an appointment under the Pathways Internship Program: You must be a student accepted for enrollment or enrolled in a degree or certificate program on a full- or half-time basis as defined by the institution (certificate program means post-secondary education, in a qualifying educational institution, equivalent to at least one academic year of full-time study that is part of an accredited college-level technical, trade, vocational or business school curriculum); and Enrollment is with a qualifying educational institution such as high school or state-approved home school; or accredited technical or vocational school; a 2 or 4 year college or university; a graduate or professional school (i.e., law school, medical school); or a post-secondary home school curriculum; and You must be in good academic standing according to your institution, with a GPA of at least 2.0. You must continue to meet these eligibility requirements throughout the duration of your Pathways Internship Program appointment. Verification of Enrollment: Your application must include an unofficial transcript. And, a letter from your educational institution that confirms the following: the degree/diploma program in which you are enrolled; that you are enrolled at least on a half-time basis and your anticipated graduation date. If your transcript addresses everything requested in your letter from your institution that will suffice.
