Assistant Geotechnical Engineer (glasgow<br/><br/><br/>This position fulfils a key role in delivery of projects for the geotechnical team with technical duties in respect of the following key areas:<br/>preparing geotechnical desk studies<br/>procuring & supervising ground investigations<br/>interpreting factual GI data through the use of geological maps, cross sections and assessment of geotechnical property graphs <br/>preparing Ground Investigation Reports<br/>undertaking Geotechnical design (expected to be under supervision), for aspects such as rock stability, soil slope stability, foundations (shallow and piled), retaining walls<br/>preparing Geotechnical Design Reports <br/>due to visiting sites in remote locations you will need to have a Full UK Driving Licence for this. <br/>About You<br/>You will be qualified with a relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Engineering Geology or other relevant discipline.
