Job Summary:

This position is located within the Wage and Hour Division (WHD), Regional Office. The mission of WHD is to plan, develop, and administer programs to provide for the execution of the Departments responsibilities under, for example The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA), the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act (MSPA), certain provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), Title III of the Consumer Credit Protection Act (CCPA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Service Contract Act (SCA), the Walsh-Healy Public Contracts Act (PCA),the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act (CWHSSA), the Copeland Act, and the Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA). The incumbent of this position serves as the prinicpal Wage and Hour Specialist and advisor to the Wage and Hour Regional Administrator regarding U Visa certification requests under the provisions of Section 1513(b) of the Victimes of Trafficking and violence Protection Act of 2000, as amended, and related Department of Homeland Security regulations. This position requires Spanish Language proficiency. The incumbent must speak, read, and write proficiently in English and Spanish.
