Job Summary:
This is an Intern position in the Pathways Program within the Office of Personnel Management, Federal Investigation Services. This position, in the Pathways Program, IS A TEMPORARY POSITION NOT TO EXCEED A YEAR; HOWEVER, IT COULD BE EXTENDED FOR AN ADDITIONAL YEAR and upon successful completion of program requirements, the incumbent MAY be non-competitively converted to a term, career, or career-conditional position. Intern Eligibility You must be a student accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, degree) in a qualifying educational institution, on a full or half-time basis (as defined by the institution in which the student is enrolled). Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (particularly positions with a positive education requirement.) Therefore, applicants must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Applicants may verify accreditation at the following website: Accredidation website. All education claimed by applicants will be verified by OPM accordingly. As an Investigative Assistant in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Federal Investigative Services (FIS), the incumbent will perform a variety of technical and administrative duties in support of the program.
