Job Summary:

As a recent graduate selected in the Pathways Employment Program, the individual will perform budget analysis work with guidance from experienced personnel within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer at the NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC). The NASA Pathways Recent Graduate Program (RGP) provides the opportunity for individuals to participate in a Federal civil service job at the beginning of their careers; participants are engaged at the onset of their work lives, before their career path is fully established. The successful candidate will be placed in a dynamic, 1-year career development program and will undertake work assignments that include performing management and oversight of budget operations, including both budget formulation and execution, within the specific area of workforce or program/institutional management. Relocation expenses are not authorized. The initial appointment will be for 1 year and may be extended up to 2 years, if necessary. The position may be made permanent noncompetitively after 1 year contingent upon successful completion of the career development program, successful job performance, and if the employee meets the OPM qualification standard for the position. Your qualifications will determine your starting salary and grade level. Positions will be filled at Step 1 of Grades GS-7 and GS-9.
