Job Summary:
This vacancy announcement will be used to fill positions in all the Aquatics facilities on Fort Gordon. This announcement will remain open for an extended period of time and applicants will be referred to the selecting official in chronological order (based on the date your application was recieved) as vacancies occur. All documents must be submitted on the original day of application. Documents submitted later will not be reviewed. Must be available to work Monday through Friday and is subject to an IRREGULAR tour of duty to include nights, weekends and holidays. Lifeguards may rotate between the Indoor Pool and the Courtyard Outdoor pool depending on season and need. Lifeguards will also be taught the basics of front desk (answering phones, helping customers, and signing people in and out on RECTRAC) as needed. These Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard/Pool Operator) positions are Flexible positions with a varied scheduled work week of 0-39 hours per week. These positions may be converted to Regular Part-Time (20-39 hpw) or Regular Full-Time (40 hpw) without further competition.
