Job Summary:
DOT is currently seeking to hire a dynamic, seasoned, technology executive to serve as the Deputy Chief Information Officer to support the DOT Chief Information Officer (CIO) in delivering exceptional business value and results to all Transportation stakeholders using information technology. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, proven management expertise, excellent knowledge of major technology operations, is a natural team player, first-rate communicator and is committed to customer service. Additionally, the individual we are seeking will have successful executive level experience identifying and implementing best practices for the DOT IT organization across a divergent and evolving environment. The Deputy CIO will have expert knowledge and experience in Clinger-Cohen and Federal Information Security Management Act Core Competencies focused on modernizing IT infrastructure and integrating new technologies supporting Transportation business demands. PLEASE NOTE: DOTs SES performance management system certification is pending. Therefore, the salary range for new SES members is $119-554 - $165,300. SES members currently earning above this range maintain current salary if selected for this position.
