Job Summary:

WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED : Open to all qualified persons. You do not have to be a current or former government employee to be considered for this position. POSITION INFORMATION (SUBJECT-TO-FURLOUGH): This position is career-seasonal in nature and does not provide employment on a year-round basis. You may work a minimum of 26 weeks but generally not more than 48 weeks a year. Actual work schedule and period of furlough is contingent upon funding and operational needs. This announcement is being advertised under Delegated Examining procedures, the candidates listed above under "Who May Be Considered" may apply. The vacancy is concurrently advertised under Merit Promotion procedures under announcement number IMSF-13-209 MPP 911162MC. Candidates who wish to be considered under both procedures MUST apply and submit complete application packages to both vacancies. Position is located at Guadalupe Mountains National Park. The primary purpose of the work is to perform a variety of laborer duties in the facility maintenance, trails/grounds maintenance, and other related duties. This work requires very heavy physical effort, frequently hiking 10+ miles on steep mountainside and performing trails/laborer duties on steep mountains.
