Job Summary:

WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: Students living or attending school within the local commuting area (approximately 50 mile radius) of Del Rio, Texas, and Veteran Preference eligibles within and outside of local commuting area with student status. All applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a degree-seeking student in an accredited technical or vocational school, two-year or four-year college or university, graduate or professional school. This position is being filled under the Pathway's Internship Program. The appointment is not-to-exceed one year, but may be extended based on funding, workload and continued eligibility of the student. Interns are eligible for conversion to a permanent or term appointment without further competition upon satisfactory completion of the program requirements. Conversion is not guaranteed. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: In order to be eligible for an appointment under the Pathways Internship Program: *You must be a student accepted for enrollment or enrolled in a degree or certificate program on a full- or half-time basis as defined by the institution (certificate program means post-secondary education, in a qualifying educational institution, equivalent to at least one academic year of full-time study that is part of an accredited college-level, technical, trade, vocational, or business school curriculum); and *Enrollment is with a qualifying educational institution such as a high school or state-approved home school; or accredited technical or vocational school; a 2 or 4 year college or university; a graduate or professional school (e.g., law school, medical school); or a post-secondary home school curriculum; and *Students must be in good academic standing according to their institution. You must continue to meet these eligibility requirements throughout the duration of your appointment under the Pathways Internship Program. POSITION INFORMTION: This is a full time position and it is anticipated that the student will work 40 hours per week, year round. The days of the week worked can be adjusted to needs of the park and the needs of the student to attend school.
