As an Intern, you will be given the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to pursue a successful career with the US Air Force upon completing your degree, certificate or diploma and meeting conversion eligibility requirements. However, it is important to remember that eligibility for conversion does not guarantee you will be offered a permanent position. Internship appointments made under this announcement may be extended or may be non-competitively converted to permanent positions without further competition. Applicants may be referred for consideration as vacancies occur and based on the eligibility claimed at the time of application and when a certificate is issued. ****THIS IS A 3-MONTH STANDING REGISTER**** 3-Month Register: This announcement will result in a 3-Month register (list of eligible candidates) that may be used to fill like vacancies for 3 months after the closing date. Applicants may be referred for consideration as vacancies occur. This intern position is located in 309th Software Maintenance Group at Hill AFB. However, this announcement may be used to fill other intern positions at Hill AFB. *Due to the anticipation of a high volume of applicants this announcement will generate, once 150 applications are received, this vacancy announcement will close at midnight. WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: **Students** Enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a qualifying educational program. Resume , for each block of work experience you must include month/year (starting/ending dates), salary, hours per week, job title, supervisor's name/phone number (may we contact? yes/no). 3. Transcripts & proof of current enrollment or acceptance for enrollment as a degree seeking student at an accredited college or university, carrying at least half-time course load as defined by your school, and in good academic standing as defined by your school. Acceptable forms of documentation are: Official or unofficial academic transcripts, proof of current enrollment on school letterhead stating your major field of study, current grade report and/or class schedule. 4. Veterans , if you are a veteran with preference you must submit a copy of your DD-214 (a copy stating character of service; Service-2, Service-7, Member-4, or etc.). If not separated you may provide a Statement of Service or memo from your Military Personnel Office that includes your "character of service". In addition, if claiming 10-point preference, you will need to submit a current VA letter dated 1991 or later stating your overall/combined percent of disability and a Standard Form (SF) 15 "Application for 10-point Veterans' Preference".
