Job Summary:
NASA Ames Research Center is currently seeking interested applicants for the position of Director, NASA Astrobiology Institute. The NASA Astrobiology Institute (NAI) carries out world-class interdisciplinary research, coordinates and catalyzes astrobiology across a range of disciplines and organizations, and develops and demonstrates modern communications technologies in support of interdisciplinary research. The NAI represents a partnership between NASA, academic institutions, and other research organizations to promote, conduct, and lead interdisciplinary astrobiology research. The NAI is composed of over 800 US scientists and hundreds of researchers abroad. The Director leads the development of innovative solutions to stimulate interdisciplinary cooperation, with the objective of developing new research collaborations and training a new generation of Astrobiologists.
