Job Summary:
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agency. DLA provides worldwide logistics support for the missions of the Military Departments and the Unified Combatant Commands under conditions of peace and war. It also provides logistics support to other DoD Components and certain Federal agencies, foreign governments, international organizations, and others as authorized. The position General Engineer GS-0801-7/9 is with DLA Installation Support, located in Ft. Belvoir, VA. The selected applicant(s) will serve as an entry-level intern enrolled in the DLA Pathways to Career Excellence Program (PaCE) Program performing duties in areas such as: electrical, mechanical controls, design and code compliance. Assignments are designed to orient, train and increase knowledge of physical and engineering sciences and mathematics, and the principles, techniques and practices of general engineering. Selections will be made at the GS-7 and/or the GS-9 grade level. Appointment will be made in the Pathways Recent Graduates Program excepted service.
