The Office of Chief Counsel is a dynamic law practice of fifteen attorneys who provide a full range of legal advice and legal services to the nations premier currency manufacturing facility. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) prints billions of Federal Reserve Notes for delivery to the Federal Reserve System each year. These notes are produced at our facilities in Washington, DC, and Fort Worth, Texas. The BEP's research and development efforts focus on the continued use of automation in the production process and counterfeit deterrent technologies for use in security documents, especially United States currency. This position is located in the Directorate, Office of the Chief Counsel. The incumbent is responsible for providing legal advice and counsel to the Director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and his top officials with regard to the functions and activities of the Bureau.
