Job Summary:

This position is located in the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Midland, TX. Work hours averages 24 hours weekly, may fluctuate based on workload and training requirements. This is a mix of day, evening, and weekend hours. Must be available for work when required. The selectee will be duty stationed to the Midland, TX office, metropolitan Area and will initiate and transmit work from his/her home. NOTE: Visits to residences are necessary and evening and weekend work is scheduled. In addition, you must travel to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Training Center in Washington, DC two times during the first 18 months. First time is a (2) week mandatory classroom training and the second time for a (1) week of mandatory classroom training. You will attend mandatory Housing Survey Training in your local area. This position has promotion potential to GS-07. There is no obligation to provide future promotions to you if you are selected. Future promotions are dependent on your ability to perform the duties at a higher level, the continuing need for an employee assigned to the higher level, and supervisory approval. Relocation costs will not be paid. This position is inside the Bargaining Unit.
