Job Summary:

These are student internship appointment opportunities. Upon completion of requirements for graduation and successful completion of the internship, the appointee may become eligible for non-competitive conversion, at the agency's discretion, to a term or permanent position in the competitive service. -THESE ARE PART TIME POSITIONS -applicants selected will work a flexible schedule between 16-32 hours per pay period. Please only those applicants who are interested in part time scheduling should apply. -Appointees must sign a DOL Pathways Intern Program Participant Agreement. -The entire duration of the internship constitutes a trial period. -Appointees must be a U.S. citizen in order to be eligible for conversion to a permanent position in the competitive service upon completion of the internship. -Appointees must be available to work and able to complete a minimum of 320 work hours while still enrolled as a student in order to be eligible for permanent appointment upon completion of the internship program. The positions are located in the Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) offices in either Philadelphia PA or Silver Spring MD. Those selected to become members of EBSA, will be assigned developmental assignments and receive on the-job-training related to the field of employee benefits designed to complement the students' academic studies. - The Intern positions have promotion potential of GS-11. - Promotion Potential: There is no obligation to provide future promotions to you if you are selected.
