Job Summary:
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED : This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. This position is located in the Human Resources Office servicing Army and Air National Guard Military Technicians, Active Guard Reserve and may include State personnel. Its primary purpose is to provide comprehensive labor relations, adverse action and disciplinary services. DUTY LOCATION: JFHQ-VA-HR, Sandston, VA 23150 EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Excepted Service Male/Female Commissioned Officers (O1/2LT - O3/CPT) WHO CAN APPLY: GROUP I - All qualified Male/Female Commissioned Officers (O1/2LT - O3/CPT) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Army National Guard Military Technician Program. GROUP II - All qualified Virginia Army National Guard Male/Female Commissioned Officers (O1/2LT - O3/CPT), regardless of employment status (Traditional, Military Technician or AGR). To be considered as a Group II applicant, proof of appointment/enlistment in the Virginia National Guard must be attached if the appointment/enlistment occurred within 60 days prior to, or during, the advertisement period. MILITARY CRITERIA: Applicant must be qualified and eligible for award of an AOC/MOS as follows: O:BR: 42B, 42H; WO:MOS: 420A MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: Applicant selected for this military technician position must occupy a military assignment in the Virginia Army National Guard that ensures proper grade, unit, and MOS prior to placement.
