Job Summary:

WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: All U.S. Citizens This full-time temporary Winter Seasonal Biological Science Technician (Wildlife) position not-to-exceed 1 year that will total less than 1040 hours (6 months), excluding overtime in a service year is with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 6, National Wildlife Refuge System, National Elk Refuge, Jackson, Wyoming. The service year is the calendar year that begins on the date of the employee's initial appointment in the agency. This appointment may be extended from year to year. An extension of appointment without further competition may be granted based on work needs, funding, or any other condition of employment. Incumbent may be terminated or placed in intermittent status (no pre-scheduled tour of duty) at any time. Estimated start date January 2013. This 1039 hour Winter temporary appointment will work in association with the "Elk Feeding" process at the National Elk Refuge with duties to include necropsies, CWD testing, environmental assessment monitoring, and the collection of climatology data, etc. This position will require working outdoors in harsh winter conditions. OTHER INFORMATION: Valid state driver's license required Uniform required Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be authorized for this position.
