Job Summary:
The incumbent of this position serves as General Attorney in the regional office to which assigned working under the general supervision of a Supervisory Attorney or Supervisory Labor Management Relations Examiner, and is subject to varied assignments relating to the analysis and processing of cases filed in the regional office under the provisions of the Labor Management Relations Act, as amended, including the investigation and negotiation of voluntary settlement in assigned cases and recommending institution of formal action in those cases where settlement has not been effected, or dismissal of those found without merit where voluntary withdrawal has not been secured; prepares for trial and tries assigned cases before Administrative Law Judges serves as Hearing Officer in representation proceedings; and drafts the Regional Director's decision in representation cases. This position is located in one of three Resident Offices of the National Labor Relations Board located in Pheonix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV and Albuquerque, NM. ***Due to the high expected volume, this vacancy announcement will close once the first 50 applications have been received.***
