Job Summary:

The Export Document Examiner performs a range of unique clerical and technically oriented duties in support of programs to exclude or prevent the spread of specific animal diseases through exportation or importation of live animals, animal byproducts, biological materials, and/or organisms. Most positions concentrate on export programs, but support of other activities may occasionally be assigned by the supervisor as emergent needs arise. APHIS is an emergency response agency. This means that all Agency employees may be asked or assigned to participate in rotating temporary duty assignments to support emergency programs at some time during their careers with APHIS.
