This position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4/G4). The purpose of the position is to provide a variety of administrative support, technical assistance, and participation in the management of an Army National Guard (ARNG) Maintenance and/or Logistics office by applying a good working knowledge of maintenance and/or logistics mission and programs. Knowledge of Office Automation (OA) systems to use several types of software for various office needs is required. EXCEPTED POSITION: Alabama Army National Guard membership is required. POSITION STATUS: NON-MERIT LOCATION: SMMO, MONTGOMERY, AL SELECTING OFFICIAL: CPT C. HESS Permanent Change of Station Authorization: IAW Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) PCS entitlements will be paid to any on board permanent status technician selected through an advertisement process as long as the commuting distance increases more than 50 miles and a service agreement is signed stating that the employee will remain in the federal service for a specified period of time (at least 12 months) following the effective date of the relocation. If the service agreement is broken, the employee is required to repay all PCS reimbursements and third party payments made on his/her behalf. All PCS authorizations must be completed NLT 1 year from the effective date of relocation.
