Job Summary:
This job is located in the Department of Labor (DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), San Francisco Regional Office (Region 6), Office of State Systems. The Program Manager/Regional Director reports to the Regional Administrator and directs the work of the Office and serves as the focal point for overall workforce development system activities and issues within the scope of responsibility of the Office. The Manager of the Office of State Systems provides day-to-day operational oversight to the Region Six formula funded Federal Project Officers, managers and grantees. Accordingly, the position requires a strong and experienced manager of people. The incumbent serves as the units point of contact for all programmatic matters concerning formula funded grant programs and the development of management strategies designed to ensure successful operation of the program, including training, staff development, quality control measures and remediations as necessary.
