Job Summary:
About the Position: Works under the general direction of the Judge Advocate, USAREUR and Chief, USACSEUR. The incumbent has primary responsibility for tort claims in Europe and Africa and is the expert for tort law cases against DoD within these areas. Independently directs the investigation and adjudication of tort claims and participates in making policy by representing USACSEUR at conferences, hearings, and host nation meetings. Most of the incumbent's findings and decisions are considered authoritative. Incumbent is the final authority on more than 80% of the branch's workload and has the authority to bind the government to the repayment of millions of dollars annually. Makes final decisions on claims without further review and has unlimited authority to sign NATO SOFA payment vouchers. Who May Apply: All US Citizens
