Job Summary:
This position is located in the Division of Strategic Planning and Performance (DSPP) in the Office of Planning, Performance Evaluation, and Communication within the Wage and Hour Division (WHD). WHD protects the rights of the nation's workers through enforcement of several acts: the Federal minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, and child labor requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act; the Family and Medical leave Act; the Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Worker Protection Act; the Employee Polygraph Protection Act; field sanitation and housing standards in the Occupational Safety and Health Act; and a number of employment standards and worker protections provided in the Immigration and Nationality Act. Additionally, WHD administers and enforces the prevailing wage requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act and the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act and other statues applicable to Federal contracts for construction and for the provision of goods and services. As a senior level Program Analyst in DSPP, the incumbent develops, implements, monitors, evaluates and modifies the WHD's strategic plan, performance goals, and operational plan. Serves as an advisor to the Division Director and the Assistant Administrator on strategic planning initiatives. Full performance level is GS-13. This position is inside the bargaining unit.
